BirdSounds Costa Rica provides a thorough compilation of bird songs and calls from Costa Rica, featuring over 2000 tracks encompassing 765 bird species. This application serves as a complementary resource to traditional paper field guides for Costa Rican birds.

 <li>Supplies additional details for most tracks, such as the recording location and date.</li>
 <li>Offers four playback modes, including options for playing or repeating individual tracks or all tracks for a particular species.</li>
 <li>Allows users to create a personalized list of favorite species for swift reference.</li>
 <li>Presents a list of the twenty most recently accessed species.</li>

The offline functionality of BirdSounds Costa Rica eliminates the need for an internet connection once installed. Due to its substantial size (around a gigabyte), download times from the App Store may vary depending on internet speed.

Recordings featured in the app are sourced from field recordist Peter Boesman's collection supplemented by contributions from Dodge Engleman, Gunter De Smet, Andrew Spencer, Ken Allaire, John V. Moore, and others. BirdSounds Costa Rica was developed by BirdSounds.nl and programmed by Harold Mills.
